This Recipe is sure to please your palate. The flavours and textures come together and will remind you of a cool harvest evening!
Spiced Red Wine poached Pears and Figs
Simple, Beautiful, & Elegant
Ingredients:
- 1 750ml Bottle Red Wine - A Valpolicella or Beaujolais
- 4 Tbsp Honey
- 2 Tbsp White Sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 whole cloves
- 4 Fresh Figs
- 4 Bosc Pears
Preparation:
- Add all the ingredients to a pot or large saucepan except the figs and the pears. Bring to a simmer but do not let boil.
- Add the Pears and Figs and simmer for 25-30 minutes or until they become soft and cooked. Remove the Fruit from the liquid and set aside.
- Reduce the liquid until you get a glaze that will coat the back of a spoon, and serve immediately with the fruit.
