Recently, I had the following query posted to the Recipes discussion board:
"I am a kiwi living in the U.S. and I loved the granary bread I could buy from our local 4 square grocery store in Christchurch. It was a small loaf, and it had a denser texture and was heavier than the usual sliced whole wheat bread. It had lots of whole seeds e.g sunflower, pumpkin, poppy seeds etc.
If anyone has a recipe, or knows the bread maker I could contact to find out how to make it I would be so thrilled! I have lived in England, and the U.S. for many years and I have tried so many granary breads, but nothing comes close."
I consulted several of my personal cookbooks at home, and unfortunately I am not able to locate this recipe for Granary Bread. If anyone knows of a good recipe that replicates the version described, please e-mail it to me at recipes@suite101.com. I will post the recipe in the Recipe Swap for all to enjoy.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help with this recipe request.
